D&G Coach and Bus has sold its Staffordshire operation to Arriva Midlands for an undisclosed sum.
From August, the D&G name in Staffordshire will be replaced by Wardle, which was taken over by Arriva in December.
Bob Hind, regional managing director for Arriva Midlands, says: “This acquisition opens up a range of exciting opportunities for Arriva, and also means we will be able to consolidate both operations onto one site based at the current D&G premises at Adderley Green. We will be investing in the site which will see the engineering facilities extended to cater for the expanding fleet, we are very much looking forward to working with new contractors to grow the business. We were attracted to the company by its excellent standing and reputation.”

Richard Lomas took this picture of a D & G Dart in the 'Midland' livery used for their West Midlands operations in Stafford on Thursday. We assume that this Wednesfield based bus will stay with D & G.
