South Yorkshire bought this Albion Valiant CX39N as a coach with a Burlingham body in 1950. In 1958 the chassis was used as the basis for a new Roe bodied double decker which became 81, TWY8, in the South Yorkshire fleet.
This bus was once a trolleybus. When the Doncaster trolleybus system closed some of the newest bodies were transferred to Leyland PD2 bus chassis.
