Ex London Bendy Buses Start To Take Over Cross Tyne Route

The ex London bendy buses in original three door form, are starting to take over the Go North East City Link route 58.
The cross Tyne route runs between Hadrian Park and Heworth and runs at a frequency of every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytime.
The buses have been painted in the gold livery associated with the route and have retained their three door layout, unlike their sister vehicles, recently introduced to the Gateshead - Metrocentre express route, which have been converted to two door configuration.
A few quick photos are shown here, taken yesterday. I will travel on the 58 and report on, amongst other things, how successful the vehicles are when 'docking' at bus stops.
