AEC Centenary Rally

The AEC Centenary Rally took place last weekend at Newark Showground where over 500 vehicles were entered. Stuart Jones and Ken Jones have sent us pictures which are shown below. Other makes other than AEC were welcome, which all added interest to the event. In the afternoon a Douglas Dakota from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight made three passes over the rally site.

Ex Carris 141 AEC Regal.  Richard Lomas had some involvement with this vehicle and one
of the last emails I received from him on 10th May said "141 goes from Butterley for
an MOT on Monday. If it passes the offer of a drive to Newark is still on the table"
Sadly Richard didn't make it to the rally.    David Gambles
