Arriving at the city via Sheldon, South Yardley, Small Heath and Deritend, the vehicle left via Birchfield, Perry Barr, Handsworth and Great Barr. A member of the public tried to stop the bus in Handsworth thinking it was the local service bus.
It was a fantastic Spring day and traffic was at a minimum when we caught up with the vehicle in Small Heath adjacent to the former GWR running lines from Snow Hill to London.
We didn't stay with the vehicle for long - it accelerated away from us leaving us on our own but we did get The Rotunda, Post Office [now BT] tower and the railway bridge in our shot as well as other famous buildings both old and new.
