Stagecoach Eco driving system

The (traffic light) LED display unit fitted to the dashboard

These LED display units appeared on Stagecoach Chesterfield buses just over a month ago. The unit is the visible part of the Eco driving unit, its sensors record speed, location, acceleration, braking.  Normally displaying green, it will change to amber or red when an event is recorded. The events or lack of them are recorded on a computer system which can be accessed by the drivers over the internet, so that they can check on their driving.
