Go North East Celebrate 91% Customer Satisfaction

To celebrate a 91% Passenger Focus customer satisfaction rating for the third year running, Go North East  and some of their customers released 91 red and gold balloons yesterday at a celebration coinciding with a glimpse of the first new Tyne Tees Xpress buses which are due into service within the next week.

The high customer satisfaction rate was revealed in a survey by Passenger Focus, the independent passenger watchdog.
Kevin Carr MD of Go North East said that "Despite the recession, the number of people using our services continues to rise year on year, with almost 72 million passenger journeys being taken in the twelve months to June"
The new fleet of six buses for the Tyne Tees X9 and X10 services are costing £1.2 million. Further details of these vehicles will follow in due course.

Focus Comment. Go North East are to be congratulated on a repeat of such a high customer rating. Their figures are in stark contrast to the doom and gloom picture being painted by those that want to take over the services in the Tyne and Wear area, in an effort to to plug a black hole in their budget for future years, at the expense of local taxpayers and businesses.
