Mallorca Pictures

Stuart Jones visited Mallorca recently and captured the local transport scene.

Catrosua bodied Volvo from Arriva's Autocares Mallorca fleet in Alcudia.
I think these are the first low floors used on the busy service.

One of a batch of six Irisbus Euroriders with Unvi Citidade II bodies
that have been the backbone of the Autocares Mallorca's service between
Porta Pollenca, Alcudia and Can Picafort for the last decade negotiates
a speed hump in Porta Pollensa with the sea just visible behind.

There are lots of Irizar products to be seen on Mallorca and most are
versions of the Century model. Here a Transunion owned Century on an MAN
chassis passes a EuroRider Century from the Ultramar fleet.

Passengers board a Sunsundegui bodied MAN 18.310 from the Bus Nord fleet in the bus station at Soller. The bus station café is also home to a thriving petanque (boules) club! It's not a particularly wide road so buses leaving the station go down the road, round a roundabout and back past the station before leaving the town.

One of the older members of the Comas fleet is this Obradors bodied MAN
seen heading from Alcudia on the coast road with kite surfers evident behind.
