Wolverhampton Bus Station

Wolverhampton Bus Station (also known as Pipers Row Bus Station) features glass enclosed waiting areas and electronic doors, allowing passengers out of designated pedestrian areas, only when buses are on stand. Uniquely, the designs for the station have meant that there is no need for buses and pedestrians paths to cross, due to the 'W' shape of the station. It also makes it difficult to photograph buses at the bus station. The work to build this glass house finished in July 2011 but only around two thirds of the buses which serve Wolverhampton actually use the bus station making it look sparse. National Express coaches stop outside on the main road.
