The 1949 Bristol L owned by the Aycliffe & District Bus Preservation Society was playing its part yesterday, on a free bus service operated in Gateshead. The bus ran between the Sage and the Angel of the North with a commentary being given throughout the journey.
Today it will be running in Newcastle on conducted tours of the city.
