Bus users in one of the UK’s most rapidly developing areas are to have
their say in planning future changes and improvements to services.Operator Stagecoach Yorkshire is carrying out a month-long consultation with the travelling public in the Dearne Valley, which has seen rapid expansion in the last few years with new retail and industrial development, call centres and a college.
A key area for the bus company in terms of moving people between Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, Stagecoach has recognised the area’s importance by introducing new buses and new service routes in the five years since the last service review.
Now, it is asking the public to come forward with their suggestions for improvements that will make services even better, with a new website to gather views and suggestions during the consultation period.
