Go North East Bendy Buses to be used on Park & Ride

Sean Blair has advised us that Go North East will commence operation of services X40/40A between Newcastle Great Park, Regent Centre, Gosforth High Street and Newcastle City Centre from 7th April 2013. Scania bendy buses cascaded from Gateshead Centrelink services will be used

The X40 will operate every 20 minutes Monday-Saturday daytimes. During evenings and Sundays, there will be an hourly 40A service. 

The services will improve access to Newcastle City Centre for passengers travelling on the Great North Road and will stop at Barras Bridge, John Dobson Street and Blackett Street, close to the shops, offices and leisure activities in Newcastle. The service will provide new connections by Go North East to Regent Centre and Sage offices for commuters, and a special weekly saver ticket will be available for £10.
