Euro bus Expo - Enviro 200

More from day one of the Birmingham exhibition

The Enviro200EV is the combination of ADL’s bus building experience with the battery
technology expertise of BYD.

Using a BYD electric drivetrain and batteries, this zero-emission electric bus is bodied with ADL’s standard Enviro200 components, giving operators full benefit of familiarity and parts commonality.
Equipped with 324kWh batteries that give a range of up to 180 miles depending on duty cycle and traffic conditions, the Enviro200EV is designed to be charged after a full day’s work in the depot,
where a complete charge takes as little as four hours with BYD’s dual 40kW chargers.
The first 51 Enviro200EV have been entering service with Go-Ahead London on Transport for London routes 507 and 521 since September, forming Europe’s largest fleet of electric buses. To accommodate peak demand on these busy Central London services, the quiet running buses have 21 seats and room for 64 standees to give a total passenger capacity of 85.

Also on display on the ADL stand was an Enviro 200 destined for the Wellglade trentbarton Mickleover routes.
