Saturday 27th January 2018, saw the first running of the 2018 season for the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express'. Simon Kerry made a great effort in appalling conditions to witness and photograph the event, and has kindly supplied a small set of pictures.
And in his words "Well what a day, I know it rains up in Lancashire and Cumbria, but two coats soaked through, and still trying to dry my poor hat!!! A 350 mile round trip to witness and record the first 'Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express' of the 2018 season. 45699 Galatea in charge and captured at Bay Horse, Woodhouse, Shap, Armathwaite and Ribblehead".
