Eden Valley MLV / 4CEP 'Boat Train'

On 12th May 2019 a passenger service will be operated in Cumbria on the Eden Valley Railway by a MLV/4-CEP combination working entirely on the battery power. Third rail on the Folkestone Harbour branch line allowed the passenger coaches access to the station and then MLVs ran under their power onto the quayside to allow luggage to be unloaded directly onto the ship.

A normal hourly service from 1100 hours until 1600 hours will be run over the whole of the currently operational line (approx 2.2 miles).
Normal fares will apply on this day.
