New Avanti West Coast Livery for Class 221 Voyagers

Further to our previous posting covering the interior refit of the Class 221 Avanti West Coast fleet, Avanti West Coast has shown advance images of the new Avanti exterior livery for the Class 221 fleet that is being carried out at Central Rivers depot.
Five car Voyager 221115, is currently being treated to the new look and is expected to enter service imminently.

Central Rivers Depot is located in Barton-under-Needwood, south-west of Burton on Trent. It was built by Bombardier Transportation as the central maintenance facility for the Class 220 and 221 Voyagers then being delivered to Virgin CrossCountry.

See here for details of the interior refurbishment.

The Bombardier Voyager is a high-speed 125 mph diesel-electric multiple-unit built in Belgium by Bombardier Transportation, for service in the UK.
Construction took place between 2000 and 2005, consisting of three classes - the Class 220 Voyager, Class 221 Super Voyager and Class 222 Meridian.
