Preparations for the Staycation Express are being finalised in time for the start of the service over the Settle & Carlisle line on Monday 19th July 2021.
The two HST power cars and set of five coaches have appeared in the new green colour scheme at Eastleigh Works before their move to Crewe.
The power cars to receive the new livery are 43058 and 43059, which were in service with East Midlands Trains (East Midlands Railway) before being withdrawn.
Rail Charter Services are running 3 return trips a day, Monday to Saturday, using classic comfortable all first class former 'Inter City' coaches over the stunningly beautiful Settle to Carlisle railway line.
The first class coaches offer leather seats, private tables, power points and wide picture windows.
In order to adhere to social distancing and to ensure all available seats are taken, bookings can only be made for a minimum of 2 persons incrementally. A Two Person ticket can be booked and carriage of bicycles is possible as up to 12 cycles can be booked to travel.

The 2021 service will operate the 72 mile journey between Skipton and Carlisle, expanded from last year due to the success of the summer only route.
