Royal Blue Run - 17/18–21 June 2021

Thanks to the dedication and commitment of private coach owners and their volunteer crews the Royal Blue Run 2021 successfully completed the 750 mile epic journey linking National area depots from their origins in Chelmsford with the home of Royal Blue in Bournemouth and area depots throughout the West County.

Ken Jones has sent us pictures of the event.

It was an epic journey, best enjoyed by luxury coach, and scheduled over four principal days Friday 18 June to Monday 21 June. Some coaches travelled to Essex on Thursday 17th, taking the opportunity to trace routes that by necessity endured London’s North Circular albeit rewarded with a run through Epping Forest.

COVID Restrictions

The Royal Blue Run 2021 endured many restrictions to comply with COVID rules in terms of passenger numbers and social gatherings, and was impacted by measures venues had to impose along the way. These factors, plus the long journeys and the consequences of some atrocious weather made things particularly challenging in 2021 both for crews and those hoping to photograph passing vehicles.
The successful outcome and the tremendous photographs that have been shared are all the more remarkable for this and TV&GWOT would like to thank sincerely all those involved whether as owners, crews, spectators or photographers
