Alexander Dennis Limited (“ADL”) has announced the delivery of two brand new Enviro200 buses to long-standing family business Galleon Travel for its Central Connect bus services.
The handover of the two 9.7m Enviro200 vehicles marks Galleon Travel’s first order with ADL and is part of the operator’s continued drive to deliver even greater choice and quality to its customers.
The vehicles – which have seating capacity of 34 – are fitted with USB chargers for customers and have LED headlights, CCTV and wood effect flooring. Aesys destination screen distributor PSV Transport Systems worked with Ticketer to develop a real time passenger information system that has been adapted to Galleon Travel’s particular needs.
Galleon Travel provide UK and European coach hire but also have a local bus service division which operates under the trading name of Central Connect. The buses were added to the fleet to further enhance partnerships with local authorities and deliver lower emissions within local communities.
Galleon Travel Managing Director Matt Bowden said: “We’re delighted to be adding these vehicles to our bus hire fleet, to help us offer even further choice and quality to our customers – a further two Enviro200 will also join the fleet in October.”
ADL Sales Account Manager Mark Taylor added: “We’d like to thank Galleon Travel for this first order with us. These new buses will be a great addition to their fleet and we look forward to supplying further vehicles in October and the future.”
