New High Spec BYD Alexander Dennis City EV's Enter Service on TfL Route 63

Transport for London is conducting a series of trials on route 63, which involve new, high-specification buses, new types of customer information and changes to the overall customer experience.
This is part of Transport for London (TfL)'s bus 'Customer Action Plan', whereby it selects certain routes to test different ideas to improve the service it provides.

Abellio operates Route 63 which runs between Honor Oak and King’s Cross. The new BYD Alexander Dennis City EV bodied battery-electric powered double deckers being trialled on the route are built to a higher internal specification than what is found on the normal TfL vehicles.

Some of the new high-specification buses have already started appearing on the route and
Roger French tried out the new vehicles. The specification includes high backed seats, wood-effect flooring, integrated seat-back USB charger/phone holder/stop buttons and a sun roof in the forward section of the roof.
