The Intercity 125 Group will launch of their Intercity HST on Saturday 16th April 2022 at the Colne Valley Railway in Essex.
The only private railway in the country where you can currently ride on these powerful trains.
Their website says "Get up close and enjoy a ride in our air conditioned luxury coaches. The HST buffet will be open selling light refreshments. Unlimited train rides and a chance to meet the volunteers involved with this unique project".
The HST power cars and vehicles are based at The Colne Valley Railway in Essex. The Railway specialises in steam engines but was persuaded the "newer" HST's will help attract a younger audience to the railway.
The HST holds a world speed record for the fastest diesel powered train of 148 miles per hour (approx 240km per hour), achieved in November 1987.
The HST vehicles include a buffet car and first class seating area and the heritage group said it was working with the railway to develop a catering train for fine dining.
