Up to 12 traditional King Alfred buses ranging in age from 91- to 52-years-old were in attendance on 2 May 2022, in company with several heritage buses and coaches originating from other local operators.
Free bus services operated, based on Winchester Broadway and the St Catherine’s Park & Ride car park, covering most of the traditional King Alfred routes, plus those of neighbouring historic companies such as Aldershot & District and Hants & Dorset.
The King Alfred sales stand was open in the Broadway near to Winchester Guildhall, whilst at St Catherine’s there was a static display of historic vehicles with a frequent free bus service to/from central Winchester.
