Ken Jones visited the North Western 100, a special event that celebrated the centenary of the North Western Road Car Company.
The North Western company was once a familiar presence across much of Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the Peak District. It was split up in the 1970s, but it’s still remembered fondly and this event celebrated the days of red and cream North Western vehicles.
As well as visiting vehicles, there were displays about the old company including photographs, documents, uniforms and other memorabilia; as well as free heritage bus rides using preserved North Western buses, and buses that ran in the North Western area.
Ken's photos below show some of vehicles that were in attendance.
