£2 bus Ticket Cap Further Extended

After it was confirmed that the Northern leg of HS2 would be abandoned, the government announced that it is extending the £2 bus fare cap on most routes in England outside London until the end of December 2024.

The cap was previously due to run out on October 31 and be raised to £2.50 for a year, now it will stay at £2.00

The £2.00 fare has proved extremely popular on the long distance services used by tourists.
