ADL has supplied Delaine Buses of Bourne with an Enviro400 City to its fleet. It is the first new double-decker for the family operator from Alexander Dennis, and joins the existing fleet of Enviro200 single-deckers which have regularly been added to the Delaine fleet over the past number of years. (see fleet list below)
The bus is finished in Delaine’s traditional livery and carries cherished registration mark AD73 DBL. The double decker was used during the Omnibus Society’s October presidential weekend. Anthony Delaine-Smith is this year’s President.
The bodywork on the new vehicle shows graphics to commemorate 100 years of Delaine’s service between Bourne and Peterborough, with eight images of previous buses used on that link are displayed on each side.
